BUSH: I do. I believe that the great majority of people coming here illegally have no other option. They want to provide for their family.
Now my question would be ‘Don’t you think that your statements act to draw people to come here illegally? You’re telling them that it’s OK to do that, even that it’s a good thing.’ And he would repeat his no choice answer. Fox and other establishment people would never ask that – they never admit that all their pro-immigration propaganda is an inducement to people to come here illegally, although we know people considering it follow the American media closely.
Then Bush gets applause by saying we’ve got to end Sanctuary Cities. Mark Krikorian of CIS points out that Bush never mentions SS in his recent 300 page book on immigration, though they’ve been a problem for at least 20 years, so clearly Bush had no objection to them until they became a hot topic after the Steinle murder in SF. More fake toughness.
@kausmickey “How do you like me now?”
He insults us with this sudden, very conscious effort to toughen up his game.
Authenticity people!!!
@kausmickey He & Hollary remarkably similar. Inept & not where they are due 3 their ability, but who they are.
