Not surprising – SSM support an indirect virtue signal of being anti-Islamist and being against irresponsible, multiple-child parenting of the sort practiced by immigrants (SSM participants are also “last best hope” for urban revitilization). Trump can pivot back to this truism, Cruz cannot.
