Come to think of it, virtually all of Fox’s debate questions on immigration were from tacit pro-amnesty perspective time.com/3988276/republ…

Why did Fox try to take out Trump? The usual tripartite split … kausfiles.com/2015/08/07/420…
Why did Fox try to take out Trump? My guess: Unsophisticated viewers probably think Rupert Murdoch ordered the hit.
But viewers who are more sophisticated about the news business know it’s more complicated than that: Murdoch and Roger Ailes, who runs Fox News, don’t always agree. Fox reporters and commentators have independent agendas — they want to protect their own reputations for integrity, and they also want to put on a good show. Many may sincerely dislike Trump, or think his candidacy would be bad for the nation. Virtually the entire Republican establishment wants Trump gone, after all.
Viewers who are really sophisticated about the news business think Murdoch ordered the hit.

What doesn’t kill him, makes him Trumpier!
But if Fox fails to take out Trump (as I think they will) that will be important too … twitter.com/JoshuaHol/stat…
Hannity: “We all agree you’ve gotta build the fence.” We do?
So @marcorubio is now for a wall/fence? Seems like maybe news (though it could be a 2 mile fence vs. 2000 miles)
Trump just said of Hillary “She should be going to prison” over emails. Says much worse than what they went after Petraeus for
They did a very good job. Don’t see why @megynkelly had to immediately play the victim. twitter.com/RichLowry/stat…
Isn’t @megynkelly making a bit much of @realDonaldTrump‘s alleged threat to her? Is she scared he might tweet? Something seems forced abt it
My instant verdict, which seems to be very different from FOX’s suspiciously unanimous instant verdict kausfiles.com/2015/08/06/415…
Where does Luntz find these people? I’m very suspicious! …
Today’s Alpha debate: Seems as if almost all of the candidates who talked gained while they were talking, except maybe Paul and Kasich. The question is whether they made enough of an impression or faded into the woodwork. Trump and Jeb! helped each other by fighting it out (though Jeb!’s initial immigration answer was shaky, as was his what-do-you-tell-the-troops Iraq answer). … Since they can’t all gain–it’s a zero sum game–my reluctant guess is the loser is Walker. He did fine, but he now has rivals like Christe, Cruz, Rubio and Huckabee who might steal some of his votes. …
Update: Now watching Fox’s post-debate spin, which is all Oh-now-Trump-has-blown it. Theyv’e said this before! I’m skeptical. He was Trump. He did fine. We don’t have time for tone! But I’ve been wrong before too. (I thought Rick Lazio cleaned Hillary’s clock.) …
Update: Fox also suspiciously Rubio-boosting — and Bret Baier says it as if he seems guilty about it … It also seems telling that Fox isn’t showing any of Trump’s sound bites (in which he allegedly blew it and began the end of his candidacy). If they’re so bad, why not show them? … … [OK, they’ve finally showed one answer.] …
More: They aren’t talking about Jeb! hardly at all on Fox. It’s almost as if he wasn’t there. But I’m not clear about the relationship of Fox to reality at this point It’s like eavesdropping on an afterparty at the Comintern. …
Isn’t there some union fight Walker wants to remind us about? I forget. Something a few years ago …
Walker has a slightly goofy quality, like actor J.K. Simmons. If I were his coach I’d get him to lose it.
Seems as if all those on stage (except maybe Paul, Kasich and Jeb! half the time) do OK when speak. But do they fade into background?
