Reminds me a bit of the Vietnam War. I strongly opposed the war, along with my classmates and the Dem insurgents who came to dominate the party. But the liberal Dem idea that we could rapidly withdraw and this would somehow *help* us negotiate a peace was, in reality, BS, no?
