“Biden must pivot to the left to speak to the economic insecurities of working-class voters while … moving to the center on border security.” Shapiro thinks this a contradiction-as if stopping surge of cheap workers wouldn’t address the insecurities https://t.co/W31TnFEwGj

Very good point on rural voters and migrants, but bizarrely and blithely assumes GOPs will accept Biden’s weak immigration offer and thus share ownership of his biggest failure–making his “reelection … more likely.”
Why?

Disagree. It matters who’s in second place. A 1-on-1 Haley/DeSantis debate would be useful, given the large policy difference between them (on foreign policy, immigration, what else?). And DeSantis would win.**

The sharp difference betwen the 18-24 group (48% pro-Hamas) and the 25-34 group (29% pro-Hamas) helps pinpoint the timing of the shift in opinion.

I’ve deleted the tweet, but I’d suggested that the poll showing 48% in that age group sided with Hamas was too bad to check.

Never mind! Looks like the LAT was citing a figure in a pie chart here https://t.co/KBSumCdqyn The crosstabs only give a figure for 18-34. The pie chart is for 18-24. I have no reason to think it’s wrong, and it’s a shocking number. [Thanks to alert reader @EricColumbus] https://t.co/kGSRdnR4uT
