Kelly didn’t say “H-1B.” Isn’t it possible Trump thinking of higher skilled folk? (But why say he’s “changing”?) washingtonexaminer.com/byron-york-con…

@kausmickey easy for him to say he’s thinking more of artist/talent type visas like that his wife came over on originally, no?
@kausmickey he needs to just stick to the Trump/sessions plan it’s all laid out for him and makes him politically bulletproof
@kausmickey Trump doesn’t know political buzzwords. Same thing happened to him on the word mandate.
@kausmickey He got confused. He thought Kelly found something in his policy he forgot about. He has not changed at all.
@kausmickey Trump has always always talked about allowing for super smart foreign Harvard/Wharton types to stay and be entrepreneurs.
@kausmickey @dcexaminer These are the manipulative games played by Media folks. So that they remain relevant.
@kausmickey There is absolutely no change in policy. Trump simply did not want to look confused before Kelly.
@Women4Trump @kausmickey I’m sorry. Are you saying that Trump weighed in on the Obamacare decision without knowing the meaning of “mandate.”
@kausmickey Kelly should have mentioned H1B, then Trump would have known what she meant.
@kausmickey @ByronYork So Mickey, your point seems to be Trump doesn’t know his own thinking. That’d make it hard for others to support, no?
@DelpLyle @kausmickey um, the word mandate has meaning outside of Obamacare. Watch the video and see what happened.
@kausmickey @realDonaldTrump just forward people to @SenatorSessions on this issue, any hint of a change is bad for u
@kausmickey Why are you letting yourself be conned Kaus?

Donald J. Trump Position on Visas
“Megyn Kelly asked about highly-skilled immigration. The H-1B program is neither high-skilled nor immigration: these are temporary foreign workers, imported from abroad, for the explicit purpose of substituting for American workers at lower pay. I remain totally committed to eliminating rampant, widespread H-1B abuse and ending outrageous practices such as those that occurred at Disney in Florida when Americans were forced to train their foreign replacements. I will end forever the use of the H-1B as a cheap labor program, and institute an absolute requirement to hire American workers first for every visa and immigration program. No exceptions.”
@kausmickey because there’s an agenda
@kausmickey The “higher skilled” distinction is too fine a hair split. It is still use of immigration to subsidize business & suppress wages
.@kausmickey Mickey, Trump also caved last night on “seasonal workers” at Mar Lago. Sounds like H1B2 crap from @SpeakerRyan in Omnibus, no?
@kausmickey on the one hand, don’t fall for media’s “gotcha” game. On the other hand, @SenatorSessions, keep @realDonaldTrump honest for us!
@kausmickey I swear I recall him saying let the smartest new grads of top schools stay. Not a change unless I’m misremembering. Whch happens
@kausmickey My guess is he wasn’t sure of the exact wording of his policy paper and was afraid Kelly was going to use it against him.
@Women4Trump @kausmickey what video? I saw him get all confused about the mandate and Obamacare last Sunday. He is ignorant, period.
@kausmickey @dcexaminer no the bottom line is I think Megan Kelley confused him cuz I can’t remember when trump wanted H1B.
@kausmickey Verbatim what he said in 2013 at CPAC on foreign students. Trump not referring to H1-B, H1-B holders do not go to universities.
@kausmickey So many programmers I know who were formerly fanatical Trump supporters have all ditched him after last night. Feel betrayed.
.@kausmickey Here’s a non-PC interpretation of what Trump was getting at:
https://t.co/ZP9NeRrYCW
@kausmickey @dcexaminer IMO knowing what was, he was caught flat footed and struggling. He’ll learn when he watches it.
@kausmickey There are very few geniuses in the world. We don’t need a visa program for them, they can be dealt with individually.
@rdetert @kausmickey yep
@kausmickey I’m also tired of his ‘big beautiful door’ . How about policies that allow Americans to have more kids ?
@Alex_Gill2 @kausmickey Are you insane or just plain stupid?? All H1’s have at least a college degree.
.@kausmickey, Trump became more hardline against H1-B as he continued to work w/ Sessions in mid 2015. Trump only 1 consistently Pro-US 1st.
@kausmickey Michelle Malkin touched on the H1B visa issue during her awesome speech at CPAC. https://t.co/hAiJ7fzaqM …
