Although I believe immigration does suppress wages, chiefly of the people at the bottom of the salary scale, I wonder whether this problem has –so to say — jumped the shark. Isn’t today’s problem and tomorrow’s problem going to be automation and forms of AI that will replace human labor in some tasks perhaps altogether?
