Hispanics do present a dilemma for the GOP, given the de facto open borders immigration policy , along with the “anchor baby” citizenship of children of illegal immigrants we’ve followed for 50 years. Are a majority of Hispanics going to always vote for Big Government? If so, say goodbye to limited government, decentralized federalism, & robust capitalism! (How’s that for being melodramatic?) Hispanics do vote GOP at higher %’s than blacks, admittedly. (In some states for governor, like Texas, they may give 40% of their votes to the GOP’er.) But the average is maybe 30% to 35% at best. Think California, which is now a monopoly Dem state.
