The bill mandates that aliens “SHALL BE RELEASED” if they merely indicate an “intention” to apply for asylum. That’s an invitation for millions more to come. They’ll get in!

Why crap? Eg Murphy’s bill MANDATES that aliens at the border “shall be released.” They don’t even have to show “credible fear” of persecution, merely an “intention to apply” for asylum or something else. They get in! It’s worse than current law. Not the “toughest” anything. https://t.co/Y5QCZcHqHy https://t.co/S9X0W7LW0O

Moderates were “eager to support” the Murphy/Sinema/Lankford “Shall Be Released” bill? This bodes ill for the “bipartisan” proposal moderates say they are about to unveil. Obviously many are more focused on positioning than actually fixing the border. https://t.co/ENFVGGoVEc

Good column (and quotes another good column from @jananganesh). Oddly one consequence of the recklessness in tech (AI) and academia (race preferences gone wild) is to make Trump seem relatively less reckless. https://t.co/hZYnYuMNUg
