Isn’t there a general consensus that documents marked merely “classified” are unlikely to be important national secrets, given the government’s tendency to overclassify?

Here is @JeffreyToobin (and Daniel Patrick Moynihan) on the subject: https://t.co/g4Sygz6Kf6 https://t.co/pUdS2fIdiT

.@Politico: “Biden’s care to mark a line of demarcation between ‘mainstream Republicans’ and ‘MAGA Republicans’ has been largely ignored on the right.”
The point is those are the only 2 categories Biden recognizes-you’re Everett Dirksen or an extremist.

Hard to avoid thinking that the Mar-a-Lago raid and the Philadelphia speech were of a piece, an election strategy of elevating Trump just when we he seemed to be fading. Might or might not help Biden, but did not help the country. https://t.co/2VzH2eVdVk

Here’s a theory: the idea of re-elevating Trump and making the midterms a War on MAGA Republicans was a desperation strategy hatched months ago when things looked really bleak for Dems. Then things began to look way less bleak–but the Biden WH went ahead with the strategy anyway https://t.co/yHq9OZ8r7S

Those are the people (liked Trump/not rioters/not Bob Dole Republicans) Biden’s speech ignores. Is it willfull or is it that Biden doesn’t see them at all–his ideology won’t allow it? I think it actually might be the latter. https://t.co/IsHh0EpYoL
