You have to listen to Adam Kinzinger’s interview with local talk radio WROK defending TPA. At the end, he actually said these trade deals end up with a surplus. I called is office to confirm he believes that. They said he does think trade deals end up with trade surpluses. I asked if NAFTA resulted in a trade surplus. They said “yes”. Our trade deficit with Mexico was $53 billion in 2014. Our trade deficit with Canada was $35 billion in 2014.
