We’re like 5 days into all Pope news. I’m tired of hearing “His Holiness” and “The Holy Father.” Theres something wrong with news shows using those terms and there was something wrong with the Pope speaking to Congress.
This Pope was elected to maintain the status quo in the Roman Catholic Church with NO reform. A worldwide sex abuse of minors scandal and they’ve changed nothing and he was elected by the same people who were complicit in the scandal. The only way they could reform the Catholic Church would be to bring in married priests and women priests so that the homosexual men are less comfortable but that is not going to happen; they are not going to share the wealth.
So theres this week+ PR stunt in the United States with every politician and news outlet going wild for a 78 year old man that no one ever heard of before 2013 and who has less accomplishments than HIllary Clinton and its because he is craftily pushing a couple favored political issues. Like a 78 yr old cares about climate change. Like someone sitting on top of all that wealth cares about the poor.
Bah humbug.
