It’s posssible that this @aoscott piece is a subtle send-up of Judge Biery’s decision, mocking the praise anti-Trump commentators are giving it–like the New York Observer’s article on the brilliance of Denise Rich’s songwriting. I missed the irony in that piece. Maybe here too.
